Wyoming Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Cody, Wyoming with Ben's family. 8 of his 11 siblings were there! It's about an 8 hour drive from our house to Cody. Bless those car DVD players! Where were those when we were little?

A turkey bowl was organized.

From what I heard, the in-laws played against the Fales . . . and won. What happened there Ben?

The Thanksgiving feast this year was prepared by Charity Fales. She put on her "gourmet" Thanksgiving and it was soooo wonderful!

The first course consisted of soup, salad, rolls and jam. Courses? What a good idea! Usually I just start digging in on the main dish stuff and am rolling away from the table after eating as much as possible.
We then talked about what we were thankful for, and THEN proceeded to the main course. I still rolled away from the table from eating so much . . . but it least it was slowed down a little. Charity, you did such a great job with this! The food was so wonderful!

On Saturday morning, Ben's parent gave everyone their Christmas gift since most of us were there. Check out these cute little cowboys! Austin is pretty excited about his hat!

Check out these cute little cowgirls! I don't think my girls have taken their hats off since they got them!

The men.

The ladies.

It snowed while we were there! So pretty. The girls wanted to ride horses in the freezing cold anyway. Luckily, papa doesn't mind the cold either!

Now we are back home. Does real life really have to start again???

On to Christmas!!!!

BYU Football

The season is coming to a close, and this was the last game that we would be in town for, so we decided to take the kids too. This is the BYU vs. Air Force game.

What a great time. My girls love having any excuse to be able to yell, dance, sing, do whatever you want because everyone else is yelling too!

Go Cougars!

One Year Older

So I had a birthday yesterday! At breakfast I tried tell Abby I was only turning 28, but she quickly let me know that that was impossible. Who taught this kid how to count? Oh well . . . there is nothing wrong with having a math wiz for a child, right?

After last year's birthday, I realized I had to let Ben know what needs to happen on my birthdays. I really don't need much, but now he knows that if I ever say "oh don't do anything" . . . I am lying. That comment really means . . . YOU figure my birthday out and it better be thoughtful! Why are girls so complicated?

Anywho . . . I had a GREAT birthday breakfast prepared by Ben and the girls. Later in the day I made this bread pictured below with my new BOSCH! (Okay . . . I know this might sound like I need expensive gifts for my birthday to be a happy one, but that truly is not the case . . . we have been talking about getting one for the last year . . . and I guess my birthday was as good a day as any to go get it!)

For dinner, my family took me to Tucanos! I love that place! We ate until we could barely waddle home.

My sister Lisa and her husband Alex made me a birthday cake which we all enjoyed after dinner. Thanks for everything and for all the birthday wishes!
